My school is rated as "high poverty" and all students receive free breakfast and lunch every day. A large number of the student body attends school regularly and are productive in the school community. My Kindergarten students have good attendance and come to school EAGER to learn. Learning happens in 3 different setting within my classroom: Whole group learning, small-group learning and individual learning. Differentiating my teaching settings allows for my students to achieve and feel success throughout the school day. There is a central location within the small classroom that has enough space for my students to work through all 3 settings. My students need a visual aid for their learning, containers for manipulatives, and a surface for reading and writing. A compact teaching easel will accommodate students' learning styles, my teaching styles, and will enhance student performance.
