My students have incredible energy! They love to chat and write about our topics, which is great, because many of them have emerging English language skills and can benefit hugely from the development of their reading, writing, and comprehension of English. Most of my students live near or below the poverty line. Nearly 90% of our school qualifies for free or reduced-fee lunch, and all students receive free breakfast. Much of my classroom budget goes toward supplying basics for my students: pencils, notebooks, paper, granola bars to take home. This is why YOUR GIFT will mean so much and go so far!
