I am an itinerant teacher for deaf/hard of hearing students. My job is to travel to student's schools and support them in their classrooms. Some students I may work on reading, writing, or math so that they can stay enrolled with their typical peers. Other students I work on auditory training, which is teaching them to understand their hearing and how to use their hearing aids or cochlear implants. Right now I have four students with multiple disabilities and 3/4 are nonverbal students that need a lot of visuals and hands on materials. I love helping educate the teachers about hearing loss and working with each child and their unique needs!
