I teach first grade in a very small, rural community. With a small tax payer base (economy depends on tourism, which is very down) it is too much to ask our community to come up with the additional money needed. We really need to update the very old playground equipment, which was not designed for children under 7. We have a Pre-K program that also uses the playground and much of the equipment is not appropriate for them. Students have had serious injuries from trying to use the old equipment.
