This is my first year teaching First grade and as I purchased as much as I could for my students from my own resources so I reaching out for assistance. The Educational carpet will enhance my students' learning by helping them feel comfortable and more engaged in learning. I currently have a small rug in which all my students are unable to sit on so unfortunately some students have to remain at their desks during whole group explicit instruction, class meetings, restorative circle time, "character counts"Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) incentive discussions, and more. The educational carpet will allow all of my students to be able to sit during those important times of the day. They will also have a lot of space, which will cut down on disagreements that may occur.
