This is a Transitional Kindergarten classroom. My students are all four years old when they enter my classroom, by the beginning of December, they will have all turned five. This gives students a head start before they start traditional Kindergarten next year. My school is a Title 1, low income school where the majority of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of my students have never been to school before and this is their first group learning experience. Most have very few educational books or toys at home.
