My students are in the 9th grade. Our school is a Freshman Academy. Our school has only been open for two years. The school is located in a high poverty area; however, the students here are striving for more. Our school is 100 % Title 1. It is also 100% free lunch. Our school won the Peace Award on last school year, 2014-2015. We are a level C school. Our Book Bowl students won first place in the District's Book Bowl on last year, 2014-2015. We are striving for more on this school year. We teach our students that "Readers Become Leaders". Our students read for educational purposes as well as for enjoyment.
