The e-textile materials you provided have already made a powerful and positive impact on my students. We recently began our unit on wearable technology and circuit design, and students were immediately excited to create projects that blended creativity with computer science. One memorable moment was when a student stitched their first LED into fabric and saw it light up—they jumped out of their seat and said, \"I actually made this work!\" Moments like that would not be possible without your support.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were fascinated. Many of them had never worked with conductive thread, LEDs, or fabric-based circuitry before. Seeing the supplies sparked curiosity and boosted their confidence as they realized they could design something both artistic and functional. Students eagerly began sketching designs, experimenting with circuits, and collaborating with their classmates. For many, this was the first time they truly saw themselves as creators, not just learners.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, we are now moving into more advanced e-textile concepts. Students are working on designing wearable items and interactive fabric displays that demonstrate problem-solving, coding logic, and engineering skills. Their next step is to complete a Thanksgiving-themed LED greeting card that integrates fabric decorations and simple circuitry. This project will help them apply real-world STEM concepts while expressing their creativity.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped transform our classroom into a space where students feel inspired to explore, experiment, and think like engineers. Thank you for believing in them and supporting hands-on learning in such a meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1758203008387,"projectUrl":"project/e-textile-activity/9550132/","projectTitle":"E-Textile Activity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Holden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9100624_orig.jpg?crop=760,760,x0,y293&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690990736087","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9100624"},{"teacherId":10079436,"projectId":9463018,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my MTSS classroom! The board, color paper, and highlighters have made a real difference for my students. We use the board to set goals and track progress, and the color paper helps us organize by subject—blue for reading, green for math, and yellow for behavior. The highlighters have become a favorite tool for annotating paragraphs and identifying key ideas during reading lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen students saw everything set up, they were instantly drawn to the colors and how much easier it made learning feel. My students were very excited that had a project to connect technology into being able to express themselves. The next project we will do is an Easter egg cloth where they will learn to sew different designs to decorate an egg using cloth. They will create the cloth to have at least three LED light up effects.\r\n\r\n As a school who has majority African Americans and majority of the students come from low-income homes, I am overjoyed that through support like you, we are able to gather these kits to give students new experiences.
