Altogether I have over 40 students between 3 schools on my caseload. I am located at a pre-school, a K-5 elementary, and a 6-8 intermediate school. I also work with a marvelous COTA. As the year goes on we continue to add more pre-schoolers to our caseloads. The pre-school and the K-5 are on a shared campus with my OT/PT therapy room in a portable between the two. Currently the school has outgrown itself and there are 3 other classes taking place in portables as well. My current OT students here have goals focused on various fine motor skills, using communication aids, self regulation, social skills and more. The intermediate school I am located at is larger, yet, it does not have a designated therapy room. I must carry a traveler with me between classes in order to work with and bring supplies to my students. Several of these kids are deaf or hard of hearing and are working on work transition, independent living skills, as well as handwriting and keyboarding.
