My sweet children are in a special class. This class is comprised of the lowest performers on the kindergarten entrance test. These little ones already start their career struggling to learn. My school is one of the lowest performing schools in our parish. I KNOW that I can make a difference in their lives. Anyone can be a good instructor. I want to be the best teacher they will ever have. I want to give these children who live in areas surrounded by sadness and crime, a safe place to come to. I want them to be confident and know that they can and will succeed! To do that, I need a few items that we simply cannot afford in this school. Our children do not come to school with instructional fees. I find myself purchasing the basic necessities like pencils and tablets, sometimes even coats. I need assistance to get the items that will ensure academic success.
