Learning to read is a very challenging part of a child's life. Having a listening center would greatly impact my student’s learning. I truly believe that my students would learn so much from being able to listen to a great book on a CD. The students will enjoy reading so much more and will learn how to retell stories easier than they could before. Also, I know that allowing my students to listen to a story will be beneficial in their reading process. With a CD player, headphones and a variety of stories to choose from, they can listen and follow along while developing reading skills in decoding and fluency! This listening center is a simple way for students to take a journey or disappear into another world through stories! I want to make the experience as fun, diverse, and simple as possible. Your contribution would help them develop a lifelong love of reading!
