My school takes pride in motivating and teaching our students to be the best they can be. My classroom consists of second and third grade students with autism. We are on the Common Core curriculum and follow the same pacing plan as the general education classes. My students are active, motivated and have a thirst for knowledge. I provide a safe and fun environment for them to learn in. Roughly half the day I teach in a whole group setting, while the other half is spent in small group settings where I can pinpoint and focus on individual areas of weaknesses. We are a low income, Title I school, made up of ELD and SEL students. Most of my students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom.
