My students are a wonderful diverse group of learners with varying needs and abilities. My classes are designated as Collaborative Team Teaching (CCT) with 60% general education and 40% special education students, with about 32 students to a class. I teach English Language Arts and Social Studies. Each student has their own style of learning whether auditory, visual, or hands-on. It is important that all of my students develop the skills to learn, in the best way for them to be successful, regardless of the learning path they take to get their goals! I try to provide whatever my students need to be successful by providing visual supports and hands-on activities. My students come from a high poverty area where many students do not have access to technology in their homes. By utilizing technology in my classroom, I can differentiate my lessons to help all my kids to become better prepared for the future.
