Black stone tables, hard plastic chairs, and steel lab stools fill my current classroom. We use the space and materials given to support our learning. But we can do more with a cozier learning environment. Having a horseshoe table with balance ball flexible seating will transform my classroom from a stiff and sterile lab environment into a social and snug setting for discovery and discourse! Students learn and stay focused when they are comfortable, when they can be social, and when they are given the opportunity to learn in small groups. The flexible seating options will provide this opportunity for all.
