HFAA is in its tenth year and has approximately 350 students, grades 9-12. Thirty of these amazingly talented and committed teenagers are on our staff (with an additional 45 students from the multimedia class also creating submissions). The official title of the course is journalism, and as they learn the principles of journalism, they apply them through both the newspaper and yearbook publications. This is quite an undertaking using only one class period per day and countless after school hours.

About my class
