My principal has recently allowed me to move my School Counseling services to a larger space in our Elementary School, allowing me to serve more students in a more private area (as opposed to a small office in the main office). This new space will allow students to talk, share, and discuss their problems in a safe and confidential setting. We are requesting a carpet and love seat for a safe space to talk, share, and discuss their problems. I want this area to be comfortable for all students -- which I envision to include a large rug and a comfy couch. My hope is that when my students feel comfortable and safe, they will be more open to talk and we can get to the root of their problems -- ultimately helping them to be the best students they can be!
