Time for Kids provides readers with articles on current events and global issues. Our students struggle in reading and Time for Kids magazine subscriptions bring weekly excitement and easy to read material. Our second graders learn about different world cultures and are inspired to come up with creative solutions to world problems. Some of the articles in Time for Kids are authored by peers their age showing our students they can be Time for Kids authors as well. The second graders would use their Time for Kids magazines as resources in research projects and writing assignments. The articles provided in the magazines expose the students to a variety of writing styles that engage and excite in many ways. Student's faces light up when they see they have their very own magazine and become eager readers.
