I can't be four places at once!I am the Accelerated Reader teacher in the 4th grade at my school. Each day the students read for 30 minutes and take tests on the computer over the books they read. They have goals based on their level and rewards for meeting those goals. There are several students in each class that are low readers or English language Learners. They need a lot of help. I read to as many children as I can each day but it is time consuming. The listening center is a tremendous help. The students listen to their stories and can follow along. This enables them to learn to read as well as take the tests they need to without waiting in line for me. I had a great one in 2nd grade but am teaching 4th grade this year and was not blessed with a listening center.
