Physical education poses many barriers this school year. The greatest difficulty is that I am required to teach in person and online at the same time. It is difficult for me to ensure that all students are learning due to the fact that I am teaching fitness classes in person and online. My students participation in physical education would widely improve if they were able to see me at all times throughout a class period. During live instruction I move all around (standing, sitting, push ups, outside, weight room) modeling exercises for students to perform along with me. By having a Surface Pro I would be able to continuously monitor progress and engagement while delivering the most direct instruction possible with the ability to move around freely and quickly. Having the access to digital platforms at my fingertips would make teaching so much more accessible.
