Most classrooms have libraries...except for arts classrooms! Help me build a diverse performing arts library for my K-8 musical theatre and dance students. These books will serve as read alouds during virtual instruction until they can return to the physical classroom. They will also be used in projects for students who have further interest in various disciplines. Diverse books help students feel seen, heard and validated. Books also aid in teaching students about others' experiences and helping to build respect and empathy. Help me expose my students to the variety of careers in the performing arts, inspiring them to work hard in their own arts study.
