When students walk into my classroom every day I see brave, energetic, and eager pre-teens ready to learn. As a teacher in a title one school, where 92% of the students qualify for free or reduce lunch, I feel it is my duty to differentiate instruction to meet all of their needs. To meet the expectations of today's society, they are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Regardless of their stressors, it is rewarding to see them eager to learn once they step in the classroom. They are an intelligent young group waiting for people to believe in them and encourage them to succeed. Their energy and determination makes all the educators at my school work even harder to give them what they deserve. The lessons in the classroom include moving, dancing, singing and humor which is what they enjoy to do to get the job done!
