Our classroom is a Montessori environment containing 20 to 25 learners. Montessori education places a heavy emphasis natural science and learning in a hands on exploratory manner. Our school is a Title I school in Washington State in the most ethnically diverse zip code in the United States. We are a public school with both Montessori and traditional classrooms. My students love to research and they are interested in plant and animal life not only in their area but in all parts of the world. As they learn of the microscopic world and all the new life that lives there their curiosities are piqued and they want to know more. They want to see more!
