My students are some of the most talented young people in our district with a passion for STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine). They finally have a magnet that is devoted to making them competitive in these critical fields. They attend a diverse inner city high school with more than 60% of students receiving free/reduced lunch. My students look forward to the opportunity to use a 3D printer in engineering classes because they will be able to authentically explore the physical creation of objects that they have designed themselves.
