The students in our school come from diverse cultures. Many are from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Their parents want their children to have a better chance at an education than they did. Some of my students face many challenges at home and school is their "safe haven". My students come in eager to learn. Our school and my class works hard with these families to ensure their child is safe and receiving the best education. Unfortunately our school has limited funding so it is difficult to supply additional resources to each classroom.
