The materials that I am requesting will be used to help reinforce the math skills that I teach in class. I have many English Language Learners in my classroom, so large visual aids are vital to their understanding of complex math terms--such as place value and geometry. The magnetic charts and manipulatives will be used as part of my morning calendar routine as a way to continuously review important math skills. Also, many of my students have limited access to blocks etc, that help to develop mathematical thinking. The Magna-Tiles and Geoboards will be available for students to use during Math Centers time as a way for them to develop these skills.
