Our school is next to an Air Force Base and we are proud to serve these families. We continuously watch the heartbreak these students and families endure with deployments and moves due to their job assignments. Nevertheless, these students show up every day ready to learn with a smile on their face! Not only does our school serve military families, we also serve the surrounding community which falls into the lower socioeconomic category. Being a Title 1 School, we face many challenges on a daily basis. From not having warm clothes in the winter, or a hot meal every day, to students who are struggling academically or emotionally. Even with the challenges given, we see endless possibilities, as teachers, to what or who our students can become!
