Most of my students do not have access to technology in their homes so having iPads in our classroom would allow them the opportunity to explore the many uses of technology, how to correctly and safely use technology and how to enhance your learning through technology. The iPads will be used during small group learning centers where they will use Language Arts Apps such as StarFall, Teach your Monster to Read, and ABC Mouse and Mathematical apps such as Kindergarten Math, Animal Math and Teach Me:Kindergarten. Using these apps on a regular basis has shown to improve students literacy and math skill levels. My Kindergarten students who are English Language Learners will use this technology so they can engage in interactive lessons that will not only improve their literacy and math skills but will enhance their language proficiency.
