I work in a high-need, high poverty community where many of my students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. Only four students in my class own a computer, and only three out of the four have internet access. This addition to the classroom will help them create and learn in so many ways. Every day when I am able to introduce my students to new applications or incorporate technology into new concepts, they become engrossed in the new concept and take ownership of their education. Incorporating iPads into the classroom will allow them to be exposed to technology that they do not get to experience on a daily basis. I know they will be able to use this addition in a way that will benefit them tremendously.
