Even though Homestead High School is in Cupertino, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Even though Homestead has former students named Jobs and Wozniak, the kids who attend school now are not all from well to do families with dad's who are computer engineers or physicians. The parents of the kids in my class work at the local coffee shop. Some live in single parent homes. These kids are hard working and sports and PE give them the outlets that they need. Homestead has a diverse mix of students. I am lucky to be part of this community.
