My school is over 90% low income free and reduced lunch school. We are located in east Los Angeles county in Whittier. The students are eager to learn and come to school. Many students are gifted and talented and we need the resources at our school to be able to give them the education to make them competitive in careers for the future. I hope to be able to excite a student in an area that they then can go into college and make a career of that choice. Many of our students are at a critical age, a cross roads in their education, they believe that they are not capable of changing their family cycle. If we start young and excite them in learning Technology, Engineering, Science and even Math and how it is applied in the real world they will get caught up in learning and stay on the path to a great future changing the course of their lives.
