Hi, I am a high school English teacher in Northern California. Although, we're in Silicon Valley, it's unfortunate how far behind our schools are when it comes to technology. I currently teaching Freshmen, Sophomores and one class of ELD 1. Many of my students have all that a teenager could ask for at home, but at the same time many of them don't. For example, My ELD 1 class consists of kids that are recent immigrants and they are very eager to learn the language and culture. The downside is that few are lucky to be living with an actual parent. Many of them are living with extended family members, so even though they're excited about learning, they have outside factors to distract them.
