Our students come from a range of cultural backgrounds and immigrant experiences, and at this school, there are exciting learning and social opportunities to take part in as they develop into young adults. However, the realities of attending an urban high school on the outskirts of the city, while juggling non-optional responsibilities like long commutes, jobs, and family responsibilities, have left several of my students stretched too thin. And so, they're unable to take advantage of the additional programs they need to focus on academics first, and even the extracurricular activities that help foster well-rounded young people. Your generosity helps us reduce the obstacles that impede many of our students from being able to maximize their high school experience and gives them a chance to take full advantage of the opportunities that center their academic and personal growth.
