Here at Lexington Academy, we are passionate about giving our students effective, fun, and caring instruction. The Speech and Language department strives to support classroom instruction by targeting underlying speech and language difficulties that affect learning. Coming from low socioeconomic statuses and varying home dynamics, most of the students in this school do not have access to materials (such as computers, internet, books, etc.) that support learning at home. Our students struggle to demonstrate carryover and maintain skills learned at school due to inconsistent home environments as parents/guardians do not have adequate resources. Our students are bright, motivated, curious individuals who are come to school ready to learn!
