I work at an preschool with students ages four and five. Our preschool is district run and serves many students with various disabilities. Our school's goal is help as many of these students catch up to their typically developing peers before kindergarten as possible. We follow the Utah Preschool Core Curriculum as well as the High Scope Curriculum. Our school has 170+ students this year. Being in a preschool means lots of hands on projects and exploration throughout the day. Children this age learn through play and active engagement in their day. This makes for fun filled days that planned by the teacher to are child centered and allow for the children to also help guide the outcome of each day.
