Students have a very hard time sitting in one place for a long period of time. At this age, they want the ability to move and make choices. However, in second grade, it is also expected that they are able to concentrate longer. For kids with ADHD, this is extremely difficult unless they have modifications. By giving them options on where to sit, they are more likely to retain the subject matter if they are comfortable. Giving them options puts them in control of their learning behavior. I would love to capitalize on that freedom and help them to have the outlet they need!
