We find a great deal of success with language development through interaction and games. Recess is the perfect time to work with one another in a fun and socially relaxing way. Outdoor play comes easily to us, however, sometimes Mother Nature inhibits us from going outside. Board games, although considered by many as being "old-school," provide some of the best intellectual and social development across all demographics. Play links us all, no matter what language we speak. These games requested will provide natural opportunities for our refugee and US-born students to work together. In doing so they will build language skills, develop friendships, collaborate and learn strategies.
