As my ninth grade students start their year, they begin making the transition from middle school to high school - a difficult and important milestone in their path to graduation. This time can be exceptionally challenging for students as they deal with learning new routines, navigating new social networks, and increased expectations. With 60.9% of students identified as economically disadvantaged, many of my students face additional challenges outside of school. My goal is to make sure that students feel safe, cared for, and engaged within my room. I am asking donors to support my project of providing students with engaging classroom materials that build a comfortable learning environment.

About my class
