Many of them had never seen classroom fidgets used in a positive way before, so when I explained that these tools were meant to help them stay calm and focused not get in trouble they lit up. One student said, \"Wait... we can actually use these to help us think?\" Another quietly grabbed a fidget during Algebra practice and told me afterward that it helped him stay in his seat and finish his entire assignment for the first time this semester.\r\n\r\nWe use the new resources daily during lessons, especially during algebraic thinking, multi-step equations, and problem-solving tasks. When students begin to feel overwhelmed, they reach for a fidget instead of their phone. I've noticed more on-task behavior, less frustration, and a calmer classroom environment. These tools are helping my students regulate themselves so they can engage fully in the work.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments happened during a group activity when a student who normally shuts down during math quietly picked up a fidget, took a deep breath, and then confidently shared his math strategy with his team. His peers celebrated him, and he smiled the whole rest of class. These are the kinds of small but powerful changes your support has made possible.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students include applying these focus tools as we move into more complex Algebra topics such as linear functions and graphing. With your help, they now have the strategies and confidence to stay engaged even when the work gets challenging. Thank you for giving my students the chance to learn in a way that respects their needs and supports their success.","fullyFundedDate":1762266308927,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-help-my-students-stay-focused-a/9743545/","projectTitle":"Tools to Help My Students Stay Focused and Succeed","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bucholtz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9617998_orig.png?crop=366,366,x46,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739398251855","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9617998"},{"teacherId":9821248,"projectId":8912309,"letterContent":"My classroom started using the composter last year and it has taken off!
