My students are a daily inspiration for me. Seeing them explore the tiny world under a microscope lens for the first time or constructing meaningful proposals for how our school could have less of an environmental impact provide the greatest sense of joy. My students are diverse in terms of their learning styles, needs, economic-status, and backgrounds. My students come from all walks of life and some have been under-served in their science education and thus do not have confidence in their abilities in the science classroom. My students deserve to have equal access to becoming anything they dream to be. My students are ready to be engaged, something that could be greatly improved by this award.
