My students come from an urban location in our city. They are mostly kids that come from families with Hispanic heritage and a low socioeconomic status. They are students with a great eagerness to learn and become scholars! Our school is a place where reading is and should be fun. We work on building knowledge and teaching students that they are capable and that they can achieve their goals. Often times they don't get the opportunity to read high interest books at home. Therefore we provide that opportunity here at school!
