We are a class of 24 eager and intelligent young learners. My class is a bilingual class, so all of my students speak Spanish as their first language and are beginning to develop their English skills. I strongly believe in the benefits of multilingualism, and it is more successfully achieved when promoted from a young age. My students have a variety of interests and personalities, so I also want to provide resources for everyone in my class that pertain to their budding passions and get them excited about learning. To accomplish this goal and promote a spirit of bilingualism and biculturalism in my classroom, my students need developmentally appropriate books in Spanish, English, and both languages.
