McKinley Elementary, a district 88 school focused on inspiring students to actively learn while also fostering a nurturing social and emotional environment. From what I've heard from the positive staff at Loomis, their students, when given the chance, thrive in a rigorous program focused on standards based math and literacy. I join the staff with many changes taking place focused on closing the achievement gap and creating the most conducive school environment and creating students that will move into high school and beyond with the skills to compete in the global economy and world. The school focuses on data and standards-based instruction using centers around the classroom to help engage and activate student interest.
