These third graders come from a very small, rural community. They know about hard work and respect. They know the importance of the education they are receiving. The community, as a whole, fosters these important beliefs. What our community lacks is an avenue for students to broaden their exposure to sciences, different types of communities, or seeing other parts of their own country.
