My students are a mix of ESE, ELL, and general education students. We are in a very low socio-economic area - 85% of our students are receiving free or reduced lunch. We work with what we have, which is not much. But we make the most of it. The majority of the students have not used technological materials before and most will not use technology outside of school. We are working in a disadvantaged area and try everything we can to help these children have an option, and a choice, in life by giving them all that we can. I use my own materials and my own money; I always have and probably always will because they need it. Not that is makes my day easier but I feel the students need more exposure to the outside world than our normal day, or economic level, allows.
