Distance learning was tough for everyone this past year, but fortunately, we're all able to make it back to the classroom! No more distance learning, hooray! As excited as we all are to be back, after spending a few weeks together, I have noticed my students needing more support in math. This is why I'm requesting hands-on materials, a color printer, and laminating pouches. With those materials, I will be able to create hands-on resources that students can manipulate in order to make sense of what we're learning not just in math, but in every subject. Whether it's colorful multiplication charts for students needing support, grammar posters to hang around the classroom, personal reference sheets for phonics, or printing math centers that students can use as a fun way to practice math facts, we'll be able to do so much! One thing the students have really missed while distance learning is art and all of the fun activities kids in primary grades typically get to participate in. For this reason, I am also requesting several art supplies for use in the general classroom and as a fun incentive for students. They're so eager to craft! I'm requesting several unique art materials such as canvases because I want to make sure I can provide them with special art experiences.
