All of my students are visual learners. Technology just makes visual images more accessible to students with autism. Computer images and graphics capture and maintain their attention. I need a computer to enhance and enrich my instructional practices for my students.
I will use this MacBook Pro to connect with a projector in the classroom to access different apps (e.g., Seesaw, Nearpod) and other resources (online videos) to create magical and engaging learning experiences and make every moment of screen learning worth it. It will simplify and model day to day task.
Proper technology (MacBook Pro) will help my students to have access to a variety of educational programs and applications. It will help them to get any required information online. With countless online resources, this will help improve my instructional practices and keep my students engaged.
The use of technology in the classroom will enhance my students learning, some examples are; interactive learning incorporating games, creating digital content/lessons, digital field trips, using online classroom calendar, incorporate videos and multimedia into lessons, and online activities for students who finish work early.
The online educational games can be a helpful tool to teach certain skills to my students. Digital field trips is a useful tool to virtually explore parks and national landmarks. Creating digital content related to the things they are learning will help them as my students are visual learners. Using a classroom calendar will help me with posting important updates, events reminders and assignments due dates. It will connect me with my students' parents. Incorporating videos, pictures and music in my Google slides will increase my students' engagement.
