My goal is to inspire a love of reading in the classroom and to create a community of readers. Some of these book series were requested by students themselves as well as read by students who highly recommended these books as some of the greatest books they’ve ever read. The pandemic year affected many students in many ways. I hope to inspire students to regain their sense of wonder, stability, and belonging through reading the books they will love while making connections with others in a meaningful way. I plan on utilizing these books for literature circle groups to facilitate student discussions and to enhance their critical thinking skills. These books will provide access for students for their independent reading and exploration as well as a great resource to use in the classroom for examples of what good writers do for imitation writing. Students will always have unbridled access to these books profiting greatly from experiencing what it's like to be engulfed by engaging books that spark the imagination.
