Although each class shares a different personality, all of my students have a thirst for knowledge. They want to learn and grow. However, they are skeptical about what they do learn. Whether it be in my English class or Geometry, they demand to know how any of the curriculum will affect their lives. Most, if not all, of my students are children of immigrants and families chasing the American Dream. In an area of lower to middle class families, surrounded by a thriving Latin American culture, my students crave the ability to help their families prosper. They want to learn information that will be essential to their futures.
