My students come from a suburban background, with a lower socioeconomic status. Many do not have a lot of experiences that can teach so much, though as a school, we do the best we can. They are great students and many of them would like to go to college, and see the world outside the city they grow up in. I feel they need more experiences in order to not be behind their peers as they enter higher education.
