Majority of our students come from low-income homes with one parent present. We are an inner city school made up of African Americans and Hispanic students. Many come from homes where the parents did not finish high school. I had a student last year that was doing awesome until his father was caught and deported back to Mexico. This children need loads of love and attention to help them be successful. They are hard workers when they feel that you care.
